“Omg becca I'm losing it these are so amazing!!!!!!
I think you have a really beautiful energy that makes other people feel at ease and safe and that’s why you are such a good photographer. I wanted to be your friend about two minutes after I met you because I could tell you were genuinely interested in us as a couple and as individuals, and made the effort to get to know us. When you took our wedding photos you were able to highlight the best in us during our shoots. You were very sensitive to our own hang ups and weird feelings towards having our picture taken.” - Jessica
“There's so many great ones, it's hard to pick a favourite :) We're so happy with how the photos turned out! You were extremely patient and calm. You were organized and made sure we got not only the coverage we wanted, but above and beyond that. It was nice to not have to worry about it on the day of, and just get to enjoy everything afterwards (and see the moments that we missed)” - Jackie
Hi, my name is Becca and I take photographs that tell a story. It's been my profession since 2010. I consider myself to be an artist, and a camera is my chosen medium. I grew up in Toronto's Dufferin Grove area, born to a Jewish Canadian mother and Italian American father. I spent my summers growing up on canoe trips and playing dress up with my friends for spontaneous back alley photoshoots. My passion for photography started young, shooting on film, developing my precious pictures in dark rooms and Shoppers Drug Mart. I live in Toronto's Junction area now but I do collect plane tickets when the right job calls - I love travel and adventure.
My Photography Style: Real moments with a bit of fantasy, candid, documentary, gritty, dramatic, fun, whimsical. Light and airy, lens flair, moody and evocative for the modern couple.
In My Past Life: Staff photographer at Shedoesthecity.com, 6 years. Resident Xposed party pages photographer at Xtra Magazine, 3 years. Society + nightlife photographer at King West Magazine, 1 year. Resident party photographer at #CrushTO, an LGBTQIA+ monthly, 3 years.
Currently: I still shoot the occasional assignment for various media outlets, but for the last few years, my main focus has been Wedding Photography, which I love doing so much <3 From small and intimate at City Hall to hundreds gathered under the tree canopies of a lakeside Muskoka cottage. From two lovers on a bridge at sunset, to your fave cafe, book store or simply at home. From classy to campy, I love all of it.
Let's have a little fun while I capture those beautiful candid moments! I'm equally comfortable shooting in delicious natural light as I am shooting with a speedlite flash, and portable lights when needed.
I believe you don't need a special occasion to get your photo taken. Just really sweet on your partner and dreaming of something epic? LET'S DO IT!
